Do you believe in the power of nature in working with people with disabilities, like we do?
Within the beginning of November, we started a two-year Erasmus+ project “Open Door – Nature for social inclusion”, which is coordinated by the Imago Foundation 12 & 13 of November partners from Spain, Romania, Czech Republic and Poland met online to get to know each other even better, discussed the first steps of the projects and actions to be undertaken.
The main task of the partner countries is to develop international standards and best practices for supporting young people with disabilities through Wilderness and Adventure Therapy. Each partner will share their expert knowledge in the fields of accessibility, adventure therapy, wilderness therapy and adapted sports. The knowledge gained will be tested during activities and expeditions to nature with teenagers and young adults with different types of disabilities. The developed standards and textbook will be available online, free of charge, on the project website.
Are you ready for the adventure? We’re looking forward to it!
